Search candidates for requirements. |

3.1 Ease of articulation of the requirements:
-
RMS helps in consolidating the following multiple search parameters of the Requirements.
-
Qualification & Specialization with Institution.
-
Expertise / Skill.
-
Location.
-
Range for Total Experience with the bifurcation into Company Name, Industry Type, Functional Area and Post.
-
Other search parameter includes – Salary Range , Age Range and Gender.
-
The complete Requirement in RMS can be articulated in one go using ‘ AND / OR' between / among the parameters as mentioned above.
-
Requirements can be saved for future references. It can also be Edited, deleted or even Closed.
-
Lets see an Example to understand the articulation of RMS - Imagine a scenario wherein a candidate with the following attributes is desired.
-
“A B.E. or an M.E. and an MBA from IIM A or IIM K only and having at least 8-10 years' experience in either L & T or Reliance Industries.”
-
RMS makes searching simple at first itself by allowing to articulate the requirement in one go by allowing “ and ” and “ or ” in a single string that specifies your search criteria. It is as simple as saying “I want a BE or an ME with MBA from IIM Ahmedabad or Kanpur who has worked for at least 8-10 years with Reliance or L & T”.
-
Once mastered, you can take that phone call from your esteemed client and tell him the candidates whom you are sending BEFORE HE PUTS THE PHONE DOWN!!
-
It cuts down on the lengthy process of locating your Physical files labeled “Engineer / MBA” and then go looking for IIM Ahmedabad, Reliance, L & T, etc.

3.2 Flexibility to searches either from the ‘entered information' or from the bio- data itself.
-
For a set of search criteria's RMS – Requirement allows the user to decide either of the following Data type for search.
-
The entered candidate information- Structured Data: It is the interpretation of the candidate's CV, limited by the Masters available and the user's understanding.
-
The Bio-data: It is the information of the candidate as provided by the candidate themselves AS IS without any interpretations.
-
Entering the candidate information is an on going process and it would be obvious to have backlog of data entry. So in-order to utilize most out of your partially entered database, RMS allows equally powerful search on the bio-data itself by searching on the unstructured, random database of candidate using Possibilities associated with each parameters. E.g. B.E. could be written as Bachelor Of Engineering by some of the candidates and it has been taken care while looking B.E. in the Bio-data.

|
|
3.3 Flexibility of defining search database as per the Practice.
-
RMS allows TAGGING the candidates for one or more than one Practices as a broad grouping or classification of the candidates.
-
Practice helps in aping the Folder Hierarchy of My-Document or the MS Office for storing the candidate in the sorted manner.
-
RMS allows defining the search database as per the practice that not only helps in faster searching by restricting the search database to limited/ finite number but also improves the result quality to very-very large extent.

|
|
3.4 Show candidate the moment it gets one instead of waiting till all the candidates are searched upon.
-
Unlike other software applications (N-Tier, Client Server architecture that is driven by the database) which can show the search results only after searching the whole database, RMS understand the need availability of the bio-data for your perusal the moment it is located.
-
RMS understands the need of promptness in the highly competitive business of Recruitment. RMS straightaway lists the candidates meeting the search criteria by searching in the set of 1000 candidates.
-
In order to attain the lightning speed of searching (250candidates/ second), RMS utilizes most of the available Hardware, Software and Network resources. So RMS provide an opportunity to the end Users to control the search by waiting till the next instruction comes for further searching.

|
|
3.5 Background searching - Allows to view candidates while searching.
-
RMS maintains the balance between the resources and the need of the user.
-
Incase there are not enough candidates that are being displayed as the search result, user can instruct RMS, for continuing with search while the user can view the candidate Bio-data / Profile or any other information available with the candidate.
-
All you need to do is focus on any one of the candidates generated as a result of the search, and press Ctrl+F12 . This sequence of keystrokes instructs the RMS to open the resume of the candidate focused upon AND AT THE SAME TIME, CONTINUE THE SEARCH! So your scrutiny/selection starts EVEN BEFORE THE SEARCH IS COMPLETE!
So your work actually starts before the work of RMS has ended. No waiting! |
| |
|
|
3.6 Flexibility of pausing the search.
-
You are pleased that your search has yielded a sizeable number of candidates and that you would like to start scrutinizing them instead of looking any further. Simply PAUSE the search.

|
|
3.7 Choice of searching afresh or continue from the point of last search.
-
RMS provides options of either CONTINUING THE SEARCH FROM WHERE IT IS PAUSED, or searching afresh. RMS allows you to do it either way.
-
It remembers the search you initiated earlier, where you paused and the point from where it needs to restart the “paused” search, thereby saving the user's time and resources by not searching the candidates one it has already searched.

|
|
3.8 Bookmark viewed candidates for a requirement.
-
RMS remembers all those candidates who are been viewed for a requirement out of all the candidate who are book-marked as the search result for that particular requirement.
-
RMS remembers all viewed candidates by putting an asterisk against the name of the candidate you have viewed earlier for that particular requirement.
-
So RMS saves time otherwise required to re-open and than closing the bio-data which is already being viewed.

|
|
3.9 Further Searching (F2).
-
As a commitment to help the user in Zeroing on the search result, RMS allows free text search either on all the searched candidates or few of the selected one out of the search result.
-
RMS can overcome the lengthy process of iteration by searching all the keywords in one go as per the logical operators like ‘AND' / ‘OR', instead of searching each of the desired keywords one by one.
-
The power gets amplified with the fact that this can be done in ‘n' number of time with the desired set of candidates.
-
Further search is to complement the basic searches.

|
3.10 RMS – A decision Making Tool.
-
RMS supports in decision making by providing following information about a candidate when it is required.
-
Bio-data.
-
Entered Information.
-
User's view on a candidate.
-
Evaluation of Soft Skills of a candidate by any/all the RMS users for a candidate.
-
History of the candidate with reference to RMS & RMS processing by any/ all RMS users on a candidate.
-
RMS acts as a catalyst in decision by making available all the information then and there.

|
|
3.11 Keyword Search.
-
Apart from state-of-art Structured and Dual Searches, RMS also provides a general searching utility call Keyword search.
-
RMS ‘ Key Word Search' has edge over conventional ‘FIND' of MS Windows or the MS Word. Unlike them, RMS can get the candidates' bio-data for the complex key word strings having logical operators like ‘AND'/ ‘OR' between the key words.
-
Key word search is boon for fresh installations where Masters are in building process and even entered candidate's information are partial. Since Key word searches right away from the bio-data neither masters nor partial information are the hindrance.

|
|
3.12 Search Boosters – Resume Sections and Resume Magic.
-
Resume Section and Magic are designed to optimize the Dual search of RMS.
-
The ‘dual search' looks into candidates' bio-data for mapping the search criteria – which is nothing but logical combination of pre-defined Masters values and their respective possibilities.
-
‘Resume Sections' makes logical partition/ sections into RMS Bio-data. So next time whenever RMS needs to map the requirement's qualification to that of RMS Bio-data, RMS would just look into the qualification section of each bio-data instead of finding qualification in all the pages.
-
Once Resume section has completed its work Resume Magic comes into picture. Magic tries to map from the ‘sections', respective master values and the corresponding possibility. This process of further splitting the section into a word that would best describe the candidate qualification will save the time in the real time search.
